Buhari Set To Visit Nasarawa State To Open Projects

President Mohammadu Buhari will be paying a two-day working visit to Nasarawa State from February 17 to 18, 2023.
The President is expected to commission a number of key projects. 
The state governor, Abdullahi Sule, disclosed the president’s visit at the first state expanded Executive Council Meeting for 2022 at the Government House, Lafia.


The Governor said preparations had commenced towards hosting Buhari next month adding that the two-day working visit of the president to the state would be “an opportunity to show the efforts of the government in making the lives of people in the state more meaningful.” 
Buhari was in Sokoto State on Thursday. 
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, BUhari spoke at the palace of Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III.
Buhari had affirmed that he directed the nation’s Armed Forces and other security services to deal decisively with any person or group undermining efforts at achieving sustainable peace, security and stability in the country. 
“I gave them specific orders not to spare any bandit or terrorist threatening the lives and property of innocent Nigerians,” he had said. 
His scheduled trip to Zamfara State was thereafter cancelled.
According to a statement, the planned visit was cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions.
Following this, Buhari made an audio-visual broadcast to the people of the state commiserating with them over their loss, Adesina said. 
Buhari had earlier planned to visit Zamfara State to condole with the people over the recent attacks by bandits who had recently been declared as terrorists.
